Bosley Locks are situated in beautiful rolling countryside on the Macclesfield Canal, Cheshire, England.

The twelve narrow locks are spread over a distance of just 1 mile (1.6 km) and raisethe level of the canal by 118 feet (36 m) to the 518-foot (158 m) contour, which it then follows to Marple Junction.

Birds of prey are often to be seen soaring overhead and in spring, sheep and lambs are the only nearby neighbours as boats navigate the flight. Each substantial lock has mitre gates at both ends and were built with a side pond, which enabled some of the water to be re-used during a filling and emptying cycle.

Every piece we create tells a story and fades into white, leaving the viewer with the impression of a world outside the scene, and a story yet to be told. In fact every piece comes to you with a story about it with an accompanying card with your wall art or on the reverse of the greetings card.

Each print takes many hours to produce, using layers, masks, overlay, textures and creative techniques to produce a fine art piece you will be proud to have in your home. We do not use automated processes of any sort.
