According to history, the pudding was the result of a misunderstanding between the landlady of a local inn, and her cook; Visiting noblemen had ordered a strawberry tart, but instead of stirring the egg mixture into the pastry, the cook spread it on top of a layer of jam. The result was so successful that Mrs Wilson who lived at the shop above, recognised the possibility of producing the puddings to sell and acquired the original recipe in order to commence a business of her own. Bakewell Puddings are still made by hand from this secret recipe today.

Every piece we create tells a story and fades into white, leaving the viewer with the impression of a world outside the scene, and a story yet to be told. In fact every piece comes to you with a story about it with an accompanying card with your wall art or on the reverse of the greetings card.

Each print takes many hours to produce, using layers, masks, overlay, textures and creative techniques to produce a fine art piece you will be proud to have in your home. We do not use automated processes of any sort.
