Doxey pool is a mysterious yet serene body of water found high in a windswept rocky area of gritstone outcrops on the Derbyshire / Staffordshire border between Buxton and Leek, known as The Roaches. The area is peaceful, wild, and isolated and this all adds to its sinister reputation for having a foreboding atmosphere, for being bottomless and for being the home of an evil mermaid called Jenny Greenteeth, (also known as the blue nymph). It is said she will rise up and drag the unwary down to the depths to suffer the same fate as she did while out walking one foggy day.
Every piece we create tells a story and fades into white, leaving the viewer with the impression of a world outside the scene, and a story yet to be told. In fact every piece comes to you with a story about it with an accompanying card with your wall art or on the reverse of the greetings card.
Each print takes many hours to produce, using layers, masks, overlay, textures and creative techniques to produce a fine art piece you will be proud to have in your home. We do not use automated processes of any sort.
