This is Cheshire’s wild hill country where rock dominates the landscape. Dry stone walls and sturdy barns add to the dramatic character of the steeply sided valleys while many of the hill tops are pitted with old quarries.

Our walk took us near Macclesfield, to Teggs Nose, which in early maps show the area as Tegge’s Naze. This may have come from Tegge, an early Norse Settler and ‘nose’ meaning a promontory, or it may be that the hill originally looked like a sheep or ‘teg’.

Turning our backs on Tegg’s, to enjoy the exhilarating views over the Cheshire plain, the sky darkened with the promise of heavy rain or a storm to come.

Every piece we create tells a story and fades into white, leaving the viewer with the impression of a world outside the scene, and a story yet to be told. In fact every piece comes to you with a story about it with an accompanying card with your wall art or on the reverse of the greetings card.

Each print takes many hours to produce, using layers, masks, overlay, textures and creative techniques to produce a fine art piece you will be proud to have in your home. We do not use automated processes of any sort.
